The Grangers Performance Wash + Clothing Repel Twin Pack provides a complete two-stage care system for cleaning technical clothing and restoring its water-repellent performance. The pack contains one 300 ml bottle of Performance Wash and one 300 ml bottle of Clothing Repel. Used in sequence, the two treatments help maintain waterproof, windproof and breathable garments while extending their useful life.

Ordinary household detergents are often unsuitable for technical outdoor clothing. They can leave residues behind on the fibres and membranes, potentially reducing breathability and affecting the garment’s durable water-repellent finish. Grangers Performance Wash removes dirt, perspiration and unwanted odours without leaving a performance-limiting residue. Cleaning the garment first also prepares its surface for a more effective reproofing treatment.

Once the clothing has been cleaned, Grangers Clothing Repel can be used to restore durable water repellency to the outer fabric. The treatment helps water bead and run off the surface rather than soaking directly into it. At the same time, it maintains the garment’s ability to release moisture vapour, allowing perspiration to escape during golf, hiking and other outdoor activities.

The products are suitable for technical fabrics and membranes including GORE-TEX®, eVent® and FutureLight. They can also be used on waterproof and windproof clothing, softshell garments and fleece. This makes the set suitable for golf rain jackets, waterproof trousers, wind jackets and a wide range of technical outdoor garments. It is not intended for down-filled clothing; garments containing down require a dedicated down-care product.

Use 25 ml of Performance Wash for each wash load. Pour the product into the washing-machine detergent compartment instead of ordinary detergent and select a full 30 °C cycle, unless the garment’s care label states otherwise. After cleaning, use 100 ml of Clothing Repel for one large garment or two smaller garments. For the best and most even results, Grangers recommends reproofing garments separately.

Both treatments remain effective when the garment is allowed to air-dry. Applying a small amount of heat with a tumble dryer or hairdryer can improve the durability of the water-repellent finish, provided the garment’s care instructions permit the use of heat.

The water-based formulations are PFC-free and bluesign® approved. Both bottles are made from 100% recycled material and are supplied in a recyclable cardboard sleeve. The Grangers Twin Pack therefore offers a practical way to maintain the comfort, protection and performance of valuable technical clothing.

Directions for use

Step 1 – Clean with Performance Wash

• Use 25 ml per wash load
• Pour the product into the detergent compartment
• Use it instead of ordinary laundry detergent
• Select a full 30 °C wash cycle
• Always follow the garment’s care label

Step 2 – Reproof with Clothing Repel

• Use 100 ml for one large garment or two smaller garments
• Pour the product into the detergent compartment
• Reproof garments separately for the best results
• Run another complete 30 °C wash cycle
• Air-dry or tumble-dry when permitted by the care label
